Our Ghost Tour Photos

Our trip to St. Augustine's old Historic District. We met at th the City Gate for our ghost tour. The City Gate guarded the north side of the city. The gate was built in 1808.

Our visit to the Castillo De Sa Marcos Fort during our ghost trip. Construction of the Fort began in 1672.

This was the first cemetary we visited. As you can see from the first photo there is a blue "something" in the photo. You be the judge.

This is the second cemetary we visited on our Ghost Tour. I happen to get a lot of what they call "orbs" but I'll let you be the judge. By the way, the buy above was our tour guide.

A Day At The Zoo Photos

Here is dh and our grandbaby at her first day at the zoo. Of course I forgot to take any pictures with her that day. Duh!

Here she is admiring the penguins. She wanted to grab it through the glass.

Here she is having those tasty chicken nuggets. She's a pretty good eater.

Time to cool off and splash around in the water.

I tried loading some of the videos I took but for some reason it was taking too long. I'm assuming it's this site because sometimes they load pretty fast and sometimes they don't.

Grand Baby in the Pool

This past weekend I picked up our little peanut and headed out to Kissimmee to hang with my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew. She had a great time playing with her second cousins.

Here she is in her little float. She was a bit nervous at first but then she wanted to jump out and go for a swim but of course she doesn't know how to swim. I was holding the float from the string that was attached to it and also holding her arm. We just stood by the steps.

If she was living with us I'd probably send her for swimming classes because I wouldn't want her to be like grandma and not know how to swim.

Here she is posing in her little mermaid bathing suit after playing in the pool. She relaxed a bit on the chair with grandpa and me watching her. Then we went inside to eat and watch television for a while.

And last but not least here she is conked out after a weekend of fun and play. As soon as we got her into the car she was out like a light. She was so tired and looked so cute with her tossled hair I just had to make grandpa take a picture of her. Grandpa took the picture from the passenger seat but from the drivers seat she looked like little Shirley Temple.

Old T.V. New T.V

Here it is, dh's new television. I didn't know whether to buy a wall unit or put in on the wall but as you can see I decided to put in on the wall and moved our stero unit under it. It definitely looks much better than our old t.v. Hooking up all the components was a challenge but I did it.

Here's the old television, the 52" I was talking about in my other blog. I put it in this room for the meantime. It still works but it was time for a new t.v. for dh. He had to fix the plug in the room and I had to go up to the attic to connect the cable because it wasn't hooked up. It was melting up there and I had to yell down to dh and my son to see if any of the other t.v.'s went out went I re-routed the wires. Finally got it to work, so now it's connected to cable.

Here's the bed and the dressers. This is suppose to be the living room but we use it as a quest room and if my grandbaby moves in with her mom it will be their room. The room needs some personal touches. I put a picture of them in the corner on the dresser but it needs some additional items.

This is the corner where my grandbaby's crib will go if they decide to move in. It looks tight in the picture but there's plenty of room. I put some of her stuffed animals on the wall already. I know she will want them down from there.

Here's the desk that is inside the room. It's crazy that I still have this desk. This desk belonged to my grandbaby's grandfather and it ended up with me. As for the keyboard on the floor my grand daughter loves playing with it and when she hits the keys it's like she's really playing in a symphony orchestra the way she moves her little body from left to right. It's so funny.

Grand Baby Videos

Here are the videos I said I would put up. It took a while because for some reason I couldn't upload them in Blogger and had to upload them to YouTube first and then embed them.

Here she is playing with my brother's puppies. Everytime they licked her she laughed.

Here's my sister trying to make her dance but she just plopped down on the floor.

Here she is finally trying some moves but not for long.

Several Photos from Past Weeks

Here are some of the pictures I took on Mother's Day at my mom's house. Here I am with my mom and my youngest sister.

Here's my grand daughter playing with the puppies. She had such a good time. Every time they ran up to lick her face she would laugh so loud it was funny. She is so cute.

Here she is at a mini beach we have nearby called Pine Island. Initially she was afraid of the sand when I put her down but I distracted her and started playing and splashing in the water. Once she got over her fear, which took a few seconds, she didn't want to leave.

House Swallowed by Sinkhole

I heard about this house yesterday on the news. It's not far from our old neighborhood so on the way to pick up the little peanut (my grandbaby), dh and I decided to drive by and take a look for ourselves. The block was closed so we walked half a block. There were plenty of people there taking pictures and the news truck was parked across the street.

This apparently is what a sinkhole can do to your house. It can swallow it whole. Mind you I had posted pictures of cracks around our house on this site sometime last June. Let's not forget our insurance company told us we did not have a sink whole and denied us our claim.

It's looks like an insurance company will be paying a claim on this one that's for sure. Luckily no one was home except for their three dogs who are okay.

Tea Party A Success! Thousand's Attend!

Dh and I attended the Orlando Tea Party on Saturday and it was a total success. There were over 4,000 people there protesting. There is another Tea Party scheduled for April 15th, one for July 4th and a march to Washington on September 13th. I would love to attend the Washington rally but don't know yet if we will.
Check out the lady with the "tea bag" skirt. Also don't forget to check out my other blogs where I wrote about the Tea Party.

Pictures of My Grand Daughter

These are some of the pictures I took this weekend of my grand daughter. Here she is playing in the box that her new car seat came in. She loved going in and out of the box. It's amazing how she thought this was a great thing.

Here she is being mischievious. She loves going into grand pa's closet and taking his shoes off the rack and throwing them on the floor so that grand pa can pick them back up and put them on the rack.

Here she is playing with her new toy. We want to get her started early learning about music.

Here she is in the park. She got on the swing and I half slid her down the slide since she is too young to go down the slide by herself. She went around collecting leaves and didn't want to leave when it was time to go.

Here she is eating her smash cake at her second birthday party. Love those big eyes!

Photos Of The Weekend

These are some of the pictures I took when dh and I took the grand baby to the Florida Strawberry Festival on Friday, February 28th. She was the Strawberry Princess of the day.

Here she is watching Sponge Bob Square Pants. What is this Sponge Bob? Apparently a square sponge with pants on who lives under the sea. She was just glued to the t.v.
Here are some of the pictures I took at my mom's house. It was my mom's birthday on February 26th and she turned 77. I wanted to go over to visit her on her birthday but I had to work that day so I left it for Sunday and sang Happy Birthday to my grand daughter because her birthday is on the 29th but of course there was no 29th this year so her official birthday was on March 1st and she will get her party on the 8th.

Some of my pictures came out blurry I quess because I forgot to have the flash on while the pictures were taken. I hate when that happens.

Our First Weekend Babysitting Photos

Last week, Valentine's Day weekend was our first week babysitting our grand baby and I took a few photos. Here she is in her playpen watching her Disney cartoons and eating one of her baby cookies.

Here she is looking at herself on the laptop cam. I plugged in the cam so my sister in New York could see her. She also got to see her two cousins too.

Are you looking at me? No you can't have my cookie, lol. This is one of my favorite pictures. I know I will most likely be making some layouts with some of the photos. By the way on Friday when we picked her up she got her ears pierced. She cried a bit and we all felt bad. I had to clean her piercings several times a day while she was with us but she did really good.

I felt I had to take this picture because it was the only time she was still enough for me to take the picture and capture the moment, with grandpa of course.

A Mini Makeover

I was tired of seeing my favorite corner in the bathroom all plain Janey so I decided to spruce it up just a little bit. There's plenty I would like to do in my bathroom but for now everything is on hold. This is what it looked like before I spruced it up a bit.

This is what it looked like after I put the Wallies up on the wall and put some flowers in the corners along with my favorite scented soaps, bath bubbles, and candles in my corner. I'd like to put something on the other two walls but right now I don't know what, probably a picture or something, we'll see.

I think it looks a bit better than before that's for sure. This is a closer look of the Wallie's I put up on the wall.

My Vision Boards

Here are the pictures I took while trying to update my old vision board. I decided on several mini ones and put them next to each other. The first two include all the clippings I had on my office desk. It took me several days to put together because life kept getting in the way. You know how that goes.

Below are the vision boards I have in my bedroom next to my treadmill. I can see it from my bed and when I walk on the treadmill I'm really up close. The left top picture shows how I would love my kitchen to look. Next to that are pictures of things I like for my family room/living room. Below the kitchen board is the master suite and next to that one is the master bath. Last and not least is how the outside of the house, the yard and the pool would look.

Below is the vision board I have in my office. As I sit there working the books and taking care of business I focus on this board and on the good and positive things that I want more of in my life. On the very top of the board you can barely see a picture of me on the stage getting an award from Robert Allen, the real estate guru. For those of you who know a little about Feng Shui you can see that I tried to create this board according to the different sectors.

The first row from left to right has wealth, fame, relationships. The next row has family, health, creativity. The next row has helpful people, career and travel. There are nine sectors.

And below is my old vision board which I placed next to my vision boards in the bedroom.

It was fun updating my board and creating other mini boards. I need to commit to focusing on them everyday (and walking on the treadmil. lol) for they say what you think about you bring about and I truly and wholeheartly believe that.

I'm already truly blessed and grateful for every one and every thing that I have in my life. I also know that God also has so many more blessings in store for me and my family and I am open and ready to receive them.

Corkboard Project & Some Christmas Goodies

This is the project I was working on the day I happened to get that stupid virus on my computer. Thankfully I solved the problem without having to restore my computer.

I had an old corkboard that looked really sick and I had been wanting to cover it for a while. I had no idea what to do or where to begin so I did a bit of research on the Internet to see how they were done. There were so many different ways I just decided to do it my way and not worry about it.

First I gathered my needed materials and supplies. Some fabric, some quilt batting, the corkboard, scissors, staple gun and pins to hold fabric before stapling.
Here is that ugly old corkboard. It didn't have a frame so I just measured some of the batting and stapled it around the board with my staple gun.
I then took the fabric and stapled it all around the corkboard. I had enough fabric that I also covered the back of the board even though I didn't put batting all the way around. I then took the ribbin and pinned it just the way I wanted it and then stapled it in place.
Here is the finished project hanging on my wall with some family pictures. I think I didn't do such a bad job for a beginner corkboard do over.
Here are some photos of some Christmas goodies I got. This blue case I got for myself. It was on clearance where I work for $9.99 and I had a 50% coupon so I got it for half price. I thought that was a good bargain for it so that I could store all my brads, buttons and other items.
It has a deep pocket in the back and two side pockets on each side.
Another Christmas goodie. A Fiskars cutter. I like the fact that it has specific measurement so that you can cut your paper or cardstock to size.
Here is my Making Memories Carousel storage which I placed on my long counter.
And last but not least some of those cubicles. I got three because I didn't really need anymore. I purchased two with the four drawers so I could put lots of items in them. They were on sale where I work for 40% off and I had a coupon for 20% of your total purchase "including" sale items, so I did pretty good on those too. They were hard to put together because of all the screws. Dh was complaining his hand was hurting so I told him just imagine that pain 24 hours a day. It's called carpal tunnel. Thanks honey!

My Grandbaby's First Christmas Day

Here are some pictures of my grandbaby's first Christmas. She had a hard time opening the gifts at first but then she got the hang of it and tore that paper to shreds with both hands. I was so grateful to be able to share her first Christmas with her, her mom and her mom's family.

Here she is with her mom looking pretty in her pretty Santa dress.
Here she is with some of the presents her great uncle gave her. Here she is opening up one of her gifts
from grandma. Notice the bows in her hair, lol.
She didn't even try to take them off!
She just wanted to keep opening up all of her Christmas presents.
How precious, what a blessing.

Here she is with her proud grand parents. She is such a blessing. Gotta get those earrings, lol.

My New Scraproom & Christmas Cards

These are the Christmas cards I made this year. Remember I am new at this so I tried to keep them simple since this is my first year creating cards. I have plenty to learn that's for sure. I made four of each card.

Here are the pictures of my new scrap room. This room use to be the guest room which I moved downstairs into the living room since it has been empty for the four years we have lived here. We always use the family room instead of the living room.

This is the right corner as you are looking into the room. I moved this desk from the office into this room. That was a job taking that thing apart and putting it back together. It wouldn't fit through the door unless you took it apart.

The cabinet is one of those kitchen cabinets you put a microwave on. I painting the brown trimming white so it could match. The file cabinet was brought into this room from the office too. I'm debating on painting the desk and file cabinet white but that's still up in the air, too much work for now. The board lays on top of the cabinet for now. The cabinet had wheels but I took them off so it could be level with the desk. My intention is to secure the top to the cabinet and put some of those round things under the cabinet so that I could pull it out and move it around the room where I need it. We'll see how that works.
Those doors are to the closet which need organizing. The bookshelf has some craft books and the boxes hold my embossing and writing tools. My dh put up the shelves.
Here is my closet. It is still a disaster. I still haven't figured out what to do with it. One bin holds all my fabrics and the other holds picture frames. Some things in the closet are things to do or crafts in progress.

This is the left corner of the room the door is opposite the window. The bins contain some sewing stuff like patterns, bobbins, measuring tapes, fabric glue, elastic, ribbons, etc. It also contains some of my one stroke painting items. On the left you can see my Cricut Expressions and some scrap albums.

I still don't know what I want to do with the wall. I'm thinking of putting up some pegboard or some more shelves, don't know yet. The cabinets provide plenty of storage for pictures and painting supplies.

This cabinet holds all my photos in the two photo bins and old photo albums that still have pictures that need to be removed from those old magnetic pages. I also have to figure out what to do with my old negatives.

This cabinet holds some of my painting supplies, paints and other craft items including some that have to be completed.

A Layout & Cards

I got a chance to do some birthday cards last week and a scrap page for some special people and posted them here.

The Thanksgiving page was done from pictures of last year. This year we did not go all out like last year.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a very special day. It's a day for giving thanks for everyone and everything that you have in your life and also for remembering those who have left us unwillingly.

I want to wish all of you who read my blog a very happy and safe Thanksgiving. May God continue to send abundant blessings into your life. Appreciate what you have and give thanks for it because it can all be gone in the blink of an eye.

I usually give thanks to my Lord everyday for everything no matter how small. If I'm eating I thank Him for my food and pray that He provide for those who don't have any. If I'm showering I thank Him for the hot water and pray for Him to give hot water to those that don't. I thank Him for my family everyday because they mean the world to me. But most of all I thank Him for allowing me to know Him and to live in this country - the land of the free and home of the brave and I pray that He can bring some peace across the world.

Thank you!

Photos of My Scrapbook & Stamping Stuff

Here is some of my scrapbook and card making items. Now I just have to start using them.

This is some of my embossing stuff. I purchased the tray, pen and inks last week. I had previously purchased the embossing powder and the embossing gun, not pictured, a while ago. I've been purchasing my supplies little by little and catching the sales along with my discount.
Some foam stamps. I brought these about a month ago.
Some wood stamps. I recently purchased the Christmas stamps.
Some clear stamps. These I purchased several months ago.
My new Cricut Expressions which I got last week.
The cartridges that came with it. I'm still waiting for my two free cartriges.

Stamping Class Cards

These are the three cards I created at my stamping class. I had fun and learned a few things. I'm new to cards and stamping so I learned how to stamp with different stamp pad inks, learned how to emboss and how to use chalk. Now I just have to try to do it myself.

My Journals & Our Totaled Car

Here's the picture of the box full of all my written journals and notes that I have written over the years going back to the late 1970's. This is a big job but I would like to get them all transcribed into my computer Journal program to preserve them.

Below is the news article when dh crashed into the neighbor's house. The caption says "Rescue workers tend to Eugene Rodriguez, 46, of Stephanie Drive after he lost control of his 1990 Nissan Maxima and slammed into the home of Mike Miskis, on Dunkirk Road, in Spring Hill on Tuesday morning. Rodriguez who suffered a seizure or blackout, was taken by helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where he was listed in fair condition. No one else was injured." It was February 15, 1994.

Here is one of the pictures I took of our car. We had just purchased it a year before this incident. It was a miracle he survived. If it wasn't for that automatic seat belt who knows what would have happened.

Day 6 Vacation Beach & Dog Track Photos

Yesterday I didn't take any pictures so there were none to post. Here are today's pictures. I only took a few pictures at the beach today since the wind and waters were so rough. We ended up on the sun deck of the resort.

Here are the photos I took at the Ebro Greyhound Dog Track.

Day 4 Vacation Resort & Beach Photos

This is the Club Destin Resort where we are staying. My only gripe is that the pool is indoors and the beach is across the street, otherwise everything else is okay.

I'm already thinking about our next vacation which I think may be St. Augustine, Florida if I could get one right on the beach otherwise we will head to our normal destination of New Smyrna Beach which I know is on the beach.

This is another photo of the inside of the Atrium from the other side of the upstairs level.
These are the birds that were swarming around the little girl who was feeding them potato chips. I was worried they would attack her and take the whole bag out of her hand because these birds can become pretty aggressive. Notice the waves in the second bird photo.

Dolphin & Bird Vacation Video

Here are the videos I took yesterday while cruising on the boat. The first video is of the birds flying around and eating from what the passengers threw at them and the second video is of the dolphins frolicking in the ocean.

Day 3 Vacation Cruise & Museum Photos

Here are some of the photos I took at the Air Force Armament Museum in Fort Walton. I wrote about it on my http://www.ellieseverydaylife.blogspot.com/ site.
The pictures below were taken while on the cruise to feed the birds, see the dolphins and watch the sunset. The picture below is of a brand new hotel recently built.
I would love to own one or both of these two homes and the boat too.
This is one of the many boats out on the water looking for some of the many dolphins that were in the water.
Here are those crazy birds. There were so many it was like "Attack of the Birds". They would swoop down and literally grab the food out of your hands. I took a video of them and will post it soon. If you look closely you will see the dolphins. It was hard trying to catch a picture because the boat was moving so much and every time they would come up for air, I would snap the picture but they would go back down so fast. I think you will be able to see them better in the video once I post it. I caught a four in one of the videos.

The Captain told us to clap our hands and make noise because they could hear the clapping and come out to play. This is why on the video you will hear clapping and every one making noise.
And last but not least the sunset. I tried playing with the settings on the camera but only took a few that I think were okay, this is one of them.

Day 2 Vacation The Beach Photos

These are many hotels in the area. It was a beautiful day at the beach and the water was soooo warm. I loved it! Will definitely return in a day or so.

No that's not me! Just some person enjoying the beautiful beach weather too.

This really looks relaxing and fun. Dh and I have talked about whether we should try it or not. We will see if we choose to fly the friendly skies.

Day 1 Vacation Room Photos

Here are two pictures I took of the room we are staying in at the Club Destin Resort for a week. It is a one bedroom suite with two full size beds and two bathrooms. It has a small kitchenette with dinette, a sofa bed and two ottomans.

It comes with all the necessities such as pots, pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, glasses, iron and ironing board, etc.

If you look closely you can see the reflection on the mirror of my dh sitting on the sofa.

Here's a photo of the Atrium located inside the Resort. It has a heated pool which you can see behind the hot tub which is under the gazabo. They also haven a putting green and shuffle board inside and it's air conditioned. They offer daily activities and have a large movie room.

Sea World's Aquatica Photos

Here are more of the pictures I took at Sea World's Aquatica in Orlando, Florida on August 10th. They are just pictures of the park. I may post some pictures of us soon.

This is called Walkabout Waters. It's one of the many areas in the park where you can pull up a beach chair and hang out for the day. This is where we hung out during the day.

This is Loggerhead Lane one of the rides we got on. You walk into the water, grab a float and jump on. It wasn't easy getting on that float while the water is pushing you away but it was fun.

This is a picture of the Roa Rapids Lazy River. This one was really fun for me. Initially I was a bit nervous about getting in because I didn't have a vest but a man gave me one and I put it on and was carried away by the river. I am not a swimmer so I had to wear a life vest. You'd think that at my age I should know how to swim by now. Lucky my husband use to be a lifeguard too.

This is the Taumata Racer surely not a ride for me. I would most definitely freak out with this one and the ones that follow. The blue tube behind this ride is called the the Walhalla Wave and the one next to Walhalla Wave is called the HooRoo Run but you can't see it from here. The also have a mini beach and several other rides.

We had a good time and even though I don't swim I will definitely go there again. We all at Banana Beach Cookout. You can pay one price and get all you can eat or pay another price and eat one time. For the price it was worth it because we ate two times and if we would have paid the other way it would have cost us more to eat twice.

A Flower & A Dolphin

A beautiful pink flowering Hibiscus. I took these pictures at Aquatica in Orlando when we spent the day enjoying the waters with family and friends. It was a beautiful day.

These are some pictures of a baby dolphin. At first I thought it was a baby killer whale because of the coloring but they are called Commerson's Dolphins. Cute little fellas.

Mr. Grasshopper

This is Mr. Grasshopper. I noticed him hanging around my doorway this afternoon. He's been around for a while and he comes and goes. He is about an inch and a half and very ugly. He gives me the creeps since I'm not very fond of any type creepy crawly bugs, except lady bugs. I don't like him hanging around my doorway but I don't want to kill him either, he's too big.

Baby Canary Being Fed

I took these pictures and video when I was visiting my brother and mom. This first picture was taken on June 25 when I was in Orlando.

This picture was taken on July 3 when I had to go back to take my car for it's maintenance. You can see from the first picture they were still tiny. In the second picture they already had hair and were getting bigger.

This is the video I took of them being fed by their mother. She didn't want to be looked at while she was feeding them so I had to sort of hide behind another case.

The Loaner Car

Okay here is a picture of the car they loaned me at the dealer because the maintenance on my car was going to take two days.

Below is a picture of my car. I had to laugh because when I pulled into this space and got out, guess what was beside me? You see that car next to mine? You guessed it my "future dream" car the 750i in my color too. My dream car is closer than I thought. LOL

If you read three blogs below titled "A Future Dream - The BMW 750" you will see what I wrote about the 750. You can also read about my experience at the dealers and what was done to my car on my other blog at http://www.ellieseverydaylife.blogspot.com/ titled "Maintenance Completed."
